Request for Proposal – Metro North Massachusetts Region Career Center

The WorkPlace, Inc. (TWP) is seeking proposals for rental of office space to house a Metro North Massachusetts Regional Career Center. The WorkPlace, Inc. is under contract with the Metro North Regional Employment Board to provide services in the following cities and towns north of Boston: Arlington, Belmont, Burlington, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Melrose, North Reading, Reading, Revere, Somerville, Stoneham, Wakefield, Watertown, Wilmington, Winchester, Winthrop, and Woburn. The career centers are the front door for employers, job seekers, and workers to receive services, which include job readiness, job matching, and training. The career centers provide a diverse offering of workshops for job seekers focused on job readiness skills, such as resume writing, interviewing skills, and computer classes.

The twenty towns are currently serviced by American Job Centers located in Cambridge, Woburn and Chelsea. While there are no restrictions on who may obtain services in any American Job Center, it is the intent of this RFP to obtain a site which is convenient to the southern region of the Metro North Board area of responsibility.

This proposal is seeking a site to house the services which would be convenient to residents of the following towns and cities: Arlington, Medford, Melrose, Malden, Belmont, Cambridge, Somerville, Everett, Revere, Chelsea, Winthrop, and Watertown.


Youth RFP 2019 – Stamford & Norwalk – Career Pathways and Work Readiness Training to Out-of-School Youth and Occupational Skills Training to Out-of-School Youth

Through this Request for Proposal (RFP), The WorkPlace is soliciting competitive proposals from qualified organizations to provide (1) Career Pathways and Work Readiness Training to Out-of-School and (2) Occupational Skills Training to Out of School in the Norwalk and Stamford service delivery areas. Programs funded under this RFP will serve out-of-school (OSY) between the ages of 16 and 24.

The purpose of this RFP is to identify providers that can design and deliver innovative and comprehensive performance-based programs that will result in youth and young adults achieving academic and employment success.


RFP Retirement Plan AuditThe WorkPlace is accepting proposals from qualified retirement auditing firms for a limited scope audit related to its employee 401k 2018 retirement plan year.

We seek a vendor who will become thoroughly knowledgeable of our organization and our employees’ retirement needs, and one who is:
I. Proactive – offering specific solutions to help us maximize The Workplace’s retirement benefits to employees;
II. Creative – presenting new ideas regarding possible administrative improvements;
III. Professional – exhibiting at all times an ethical, meticulous, and highly-detail oriented manner.


RFQ – Participant Recruitment and Placement Services for Recovery Workforce Initiative in Rhode Island

Through this Request for Qualifications (RFQ), The WorkPlace is soliciting competitive proposals from qualified organizations to provide program participant outreach, recruitment/referral and job placement services in Rhode Island. Funding under this RFQ will focus on unemployed individuals who have or had a substance abuse disorder.

The purpose of this RFQ is to identify a provider that can recruit unemployed individuals that meet specific requirements and refer them to the Platform to Employment program.

Funding for these services is available under a grant from the Governor’s Workforce Board and the Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH) through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service’s State Opioid Response (SOR) Grant program.
