I received a letter from Platform to Employment (P2E) the week of November 5.
The letter informed me that I was eligible to participate in the program, I didn’t think of about it until that Sunday. I wasn’t working so I had no excuses to not participate in this program. From the program I learned about the importance of “Body language”, what I project and what I read from the other person. We focused on interview questions, feeling more comfortable and how to answer the unexpected questions. We also did a lot of mock interviews which were very helpful.
All the topics were very helpful but the one I found very useful was to understand my weaknesses and how to deal with them. This was difficult to work with because who wants to talk about weaknesses as this was a hard subject for me to face. All of the topics were relevant and the best thing about the program for me was meeting new people that I can now call friends, building relationships and supporting each other.
