Military to Machinist Workforce Specialist. The Workforce Specialist must successfully conduct outreach at traditional and nontraditional sites to recruit veterans for manufacturing apprenticeships. This position is responsible for enrolling participants in the program and assisting veterans in overcoming barriers. The Workforce Specialist will also be charged with building community relationships to further recruiting and connecting veterans with education and training services, as well as, have an understanding of manufacturing and apprenticeship programs to make appropriate referrals.

Driver (Part-Time). Drivers are responsible for operating a vehicle to transport passengers to and from work and training programs and/or various other program related activities.

Program Assistant (Part-time) for Dress for Success Mid-Fairfield County. Responsible for the real-time operations that facilitate the maximization of resources to achieve customer satisfaction through delivery of client services, coordination of volunteers, recruitment of referral partners, support to clients and development of resources.

Account Executive. Engage Staffing is a general staffing and recruitment firm based in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The Account Executive will provide guidance, counseling, support and other employment related services to Engage Staffing clients. The position will establish and maintain activities to develop and secure job openings with local employers, market Engage Staffing and coordinate client job placement activity with the Engage Staffing Recruiter. The Account Executive will establish relationships with employers and businesses, promoting the services provided by the program.

Open Positions in Virginia

Youth Training Manager. Will oversee the delivery of training and education services to Youth at the Virginia Career Works (VCW) – Blue Ridge Region Centers. This position will work directly with partners at the VCW Blue Ridge Region Centers and collaborate with area employers and training providers to deliver services required to address Youth’s barriers to educational advancement and employment.

Youth Training and Education Specialist. Will work directly with Youth at the Virginia Career Works – Blue Ridge Region Centers to provide educational instruction and tutoring as well as additional services required to address Youth’s barriers to educational advancement and employment.

Opportunity Center Coordinator. While delivering innovative solutions, exceptional service and trusted results, the Opportunity Center Coordinator will work with the City of Newport News, staff, partner staff, case management staff, business leaders, non-profit organizations, and others to provide the day-to-day guidance for the extensive workforce services and funding streams housed at the Opportunity Center. The Opportunity Center Coordinator will work closely with the Center Partners, and the iLab Director, in the daily operations while performing professional and technical community and business engagement, Center activities including: daily operations, marketing, training, workshops, grant writing, management, and support, work monitoring performance to endure contract compliance, quality of services provided, management of one FTE and responsibility for positive grant funded and program outcomes.

Administrative Support. Provides clerical, operational, technical and office support to Opportunity Center Coordinator and partners to ensure the efficient and seamless operations in the Center. Prepares Opportunity Center for efficient space and time use efficiencies that serves the public at large and industry leaders accordingly.

Career Counselor. A Career Counselor must successfully provide comprehensive case management to assigned individuals, some with multiple barriers to employment, utilizing various career assessment, planning and related tools and activities. A Career Counselor will work collaboratively with the partner staff assisting in arranging for job interviews and additional services to remove barriers; monitoring participant performance throughout workforce programs and counseling participants so that all programmatic metrics are successfully met.

System Coordinator (One-Stop Operator) – Part Time. This position works in cooperation with Virginia Career Works (VCW)-Hampton Roads Region partner organizations, service providers and workforce development board in order to provide for the overall effective and efficient coordination and delivery of services and resources to customers through a network of one (1) Comprehensive and multiple Affiliate VCW Centers in the Hampton Roads Region. As the primary System Coordinator, this position develops and maintains critical relationships with partners and service providers in order to ensure the ongoing provision of resource commitments set forth in the System Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This position serves in the role of Convener and does not directly supervise or manage VCW Center Staff.
