The Center for Capacity Development - We help organizations succeed

In 2002, the WorkPlace, Inc. (Southwestern Connecticut’s Workforce Development Board) launched  The Center for Capacity Development, a fee-for-service initiative aimed at building the financial, programmatic and organizational capacity of not-for-profit organizations, community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, small businesses and governmental agencies to identify, secure, and manage funding from a variety of sources.

Clients range from small, local faith-based/grassroot organizations to larger, national organizations. The Center works throughout the United States and is based in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  To date, the Center has worked with over 150 organizations nationally and has secured over $14.7 million on behalf of clients in competitive funding.

 

As a project of The WorkPlace, Inc., The Center for Capacity Development has the resources and experience of over 20 years in identifying, securing and managing federal, state, foundation and corporate grant funding. Our diverse staff represent key area of specializing in research, financial services, human resources, grant writing, marketing, technology, legal, fundraising, evaluation, strategic planning, program design and project management.
